About the Role

Our E-Mobility Supply Chain Business Unit is entering an exciting execution phase in the Battery EV and electrif ication parts sector. This involves real trading activities and business transactions with partners across Asia (including Japan and China). We are looking for a dynamic Business Developer who can accelerate this process, drive growth, and coordinate projects eff ectively. The position is based in Belgium, Zaventem and require 20-30% business travel (including occasional trips to China and Japan).

Key Responsibilities

Business Development for Toyota-Related Business

  • Business Development for Toyota-Related Business
  • Build and expand relationships with Toyota Motor Europe and Asian automotive component manufacturers.
  • Manage end-to-end commercial activities:
    • Negotiate with Chinese suppliers
    • Communicate with customers in English
    • Coordinate logistics and cost calculations with the sales team
  • Identify and onboard new manufacturing partners to strengthen the business base.
  • Develop and manage cross-border trading and logistics structures, including risk assessment and cost optimization.

Marketing & Business Development in Electrification

  • Lead business development and marketing of battery -related materials and components for European customers, focusing on Asian suppliers.
  • Conduct market research to identify promising startups and innovative technologies in electrification.
  • Explore strategic partnerships or investment opportunities with high-potential companies.

Market Intelligence & Strategic Expansion

  • Gather market and competitor insights to identif y new opportunitie
  • Support business strategy f ormulation and market-entry plans.
  • Collaborate with global teams to align regional and global initiatives.

Your Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s is a plus). Motivated recent graduates are welcome.
  • Languages: Fluency in Chinese and English is mandatory.
  • Background: Technical or engineering knowledge preferred, but strong interest in business development and willingness to learn are highly valued.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with ability to work across cultures and time zones.
  • Proficient in MS Office and general business software.
